  • What’s Going on at Pop Century?

If you have been keeping up with Disney parks announcements like we have, then you know there are some MAJOR changes coming up like the removal of Muppets Courtyard, addition of Monsters Inc land, a new Cars land in Magic Kingdom and much more. As the parks continue on through their “off season” (is there ever truly an off season anymore?) we have seen an uptick in closures for refurbishment. And the resorts are no exception. Our favorite value resort, Pop Century has undergone a face lift in the past year. Lot’s of exciting updates are being made to “Everything Pop”, the shopping and dining hub at the resort. But in addition to those community areas, Disney has filed 3 permits that focus on the room blocks. And they are longer than we anticipated. Originally having construction lasting from late March 2025 through February 2026, the new permits have the end date extended through August of 2026. However, not to worry Pop Century fans, the resort will still be open throughout this refurbishment , you might just want to pack some noise cancelling headphones ;)

  • Lightning Lane Premier Pass Pilot: Latest Update

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass has undergone several changes since its initial launch: Initially, it was only available to deluxe resort guests. Then, it was made available to all resort guests. Recently announced, it is available for purchase by any guest visiting the Disney parks, including those staying off property. This pilot program began in October 2024, with the most recent update effective today, January 21, 2025. Please note that changes may still occur as this is a pilot program, and the cost for the pass can range from $119 to $400 per person.
